General Specifications for Model 155 & 160 Roll-Up Doors
Curtain
.019” (26-guage) hot-dipped galvanized steel roll formed into a corrugated sheet, interlocked and seamed together to make a continuous curtain for full height of door.
Polypropylene Strip
A 1” wide strip, stapled along the exterior edges of the curtain, acts as a wearstrip and prevents steel-to-steel contact between the curtain and guide, allowing for longevity and quiet operation. Model 155 has a strip attached to exterior side of curtain only. Model 160 has a strip attached to both exterior and interior sides of curtain.
Finish Coat
Prior to roll forming, curtain is pretreated, then painted with a prime coat and a top coat of medium gloss, high temperature polyester paint. Choice of 18 standard colors.
Bottom Bar
Extruded aluminum, reinforced with a galvanized steel angle and equipped with a vinyl, bulb-type weather-stripping.
Counterbalance
Springs are factory-lubricated, helical wound torsion-type made from oil-tempered wire and factory-calibrated to match site specifications.
Brackets
Of structural steel angles and flat bar steel welded together to form a solid triangular support bracket.
Guides
Made of galvanized steel with a polypropylene strip attached to inside edge, to act as a wearstrip and to prevent steel-to-steel contact between the curtain and guide allowing for longevity and quiet operation. Model 155 is 18-gauge steel; Model 160 is 16-gauge steel.
Operation
Standard operation of doors as follows: Up to 10’0” x 10’0” by means of push up operation. Over 10’0” x 10’0” by means of 4:1 reduce chain hoist drive.
Operator Recommendations
The Lift-Master Model MJ and EJ, Medium-Duty Jackshaft Operator, is recommended for the Model 155. The Lift-Master Model HJ and J, Heavy-Duty Jackshaft Operator, is recommended for the Model 160.
